This is how we feel while inside The Happiest Place on Earth...
Behind this cleverly crafted construction wall within Disney's California Adventure, an Ariel ride is being built. It will be ready in 2011.
Also in California Adventure (hereafter referred to as DCA), you will find an a capella group singing Motown, smooth and calming as the original artists. My husband and I were reluctantly pulled away from this quartet to go and stand in a line for a ride somewhere. We could have listened to them sing all day.
Little things like this make me appreciate the Imagineers. A good play on words is never wasted on me.
Or a peeking fairy, for that matter.
Fairy houses, in case you wondered what they looked like. This is Pixie Hollow, new at Disneyland. It is too short of an attraction, but I insist it's enchanted.
At DCA, in the Animation attraction/building within the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area (on a street modeled after a street in Burbank, my birthplace), you can visit Beast's Library and take this interactive quiz, finding out the Disney character to which you are most kindred. Hubby tested Tarzan.
Oh goodness no, that was not my result (my result was Belle).
The area that used to be a lagoon inside DCA is soon going to be a Fantasmic-like show called World of Color. Lasers, water effects, future technology...it promises to be a spectacular display of imagination. I wouldn't expect anything less. To the right of this area under construction (there will be an area to seat 9,000 people who want to watch Worlds of Color), Disney is working in Cars Land, which will have three family attractions including a 12-acre one called Radiator Springs Racers. You can read more about all this here.
I am more excited for this ride than I will ever admit. Even if I just did. I can be heard sporadically singing betcha on land they understand that they don't reprimand their daughters, until someone throws something at me, like a smelly Chuckie Taylor.
You must try these.
Tell me you can't buy happiness and I will brandish my Disney annual pass with the picture of a very happy (38 year old) girl who has (never really, like to see somebody try and make me) grown up in the shadow of two big mouse ears.
